We are located at Cangrejos Yatch Club dock E 112. It is just a 5 to 10 minute ride by car from most tourist areas of San Juan, Puerto Rico. You can enjoy incredible fishing with the highest concentration of tarpon all year round and an amazing view of different birds, manatees, and the mangroves. Our Captain
Santiago Javier Aldrey born and raised in Puerto Rico, has more than 15 years of experience working as a freelancer for different companies. The captain is USCG licensed with first aid and CPR training. He has 4 Nico Guzman Cups at CYC tarpon tournaments, a 12 hour shootout and multiple PRLTA inshore tournaments under his belt. He’s you’re best shot to land that trophy fish.
Our Fishing Destinations
La Laguna San José, located in northeastern Puerto Rico, is a vital estuarine ecosystem that supports a rich diversity of wildlife, including migratory birds like the Black-crowned Night Heron and Roseate Spoonbill, as well as marine species such as tilapia, snook, and occasional manatees. Surrounded by mangrove forests, the lagoon plays a crucial role in water filtration, flood control, and providing nurseries for aquatic life. Its brackish waters are home to numerous fish, crustaceans, and invertebrates, while the surrounding vegetation shelters reptiles like the Puerto Rican coqui frog. Despite its ecological importance, the lagoon faces threats from pollution, coastal development, and human activity.
Our Boat

Our boat is USCG inspected and insured. It also has lifesavers, whistles, flares, fire extinguisher and first aid kit. Accommodates up to four anglers and is specifically designed for tarpon fishing. Its low profile is perfect for fly fishing. The boat is equipped with two live well, casting platform, pooling pole and poling platform, a fishfinder, and a non-skid deck. The flat platform allows for easy movement around the boat while fighting a massive tarpon. We use this boat because it is the best for anglers looking to fish tarpon in Puerto Rico.
